Learning tarot is many things. It is exciting, it is inspiring, it is expansive...but it can also be daunting, overwhelming and confusing as hell. And, as you journey further into your practice, there will inevitably come times when you just hit a wall.
Before the advent of residential internet, you only had a few options - whatever books you could get your hands on, a mentor or someone else to teach you, classes if they were available in your area or a direct line to divinity itself.
Now, all of those options are still available today, but we have the added resource of the internet. This is great and this is also terrible, as with most things - it is dual. It is great because it means more information is available, but it’s terrible because it means sifting through a lot of information that isn’t useful, relevant or accurate.
Learning tarot is particularly complex and difficult to navigate because there is no exact formula that will work for everyone. Every tarot practitioner is a little bit different - different philosophy, style, methods, life experiences, beliefs, gifts, knowledge, preferences…etc.
But, that's also part of the richness of this pursuit. It's an art and a science. It's got rules, but it also asks that we break them…once we build the confidence to do so.
How does one gain that confidence? That’s a big question, and it’s part of why we created this space. We built it, and continue to add to it, as a way to share knowledge, inspire mystery and also help others on the path - regardless of where they are on it. If you're like us and feel compelled or called to this tool, then we want you to know it's for you. The last thing we'd want for you is to give up on it because it's “too difficult”. Yes, tarot will challenge you - the best things do. But, if you can push forward through that, the gifts it has to offer will make those challenges pale.

Personalized Tarot Mentoring
Tarot mentoring sessions take place live over Zoom and give you space to hone in on your practice with personalized support. It's like coaching in that we work with you to achieve your tarot goals, all in a fun, explorative and encouraging way. We love watching people expand in their practice and have those a-ha moments with the cards. This is probably one of our favourite “jobs” as it relates to this work!
Courses & Live Workshops
Another way you can work with us is through our courses and live workshops. We offer both go-at-your-own-pace style as well as a regular monthly workshop series. Learn tarot solo or with a group!
Daily Tarot Tips
We’ve added a new feature on our website called the Daily Tarot Tip! In this space, you’ll find a simple lesson, tip or insight to help you deepen your connection with tarot. We use actual cards to inspire these tips, which is to say that tarot itself can teach you how to become a better tarot reader! Check out the page daily to keep learning!
Pull Pen Paint
For the last 7 years, I (Julia) have been facilitating tarot themed workshops over at Pull Pen Paint (hosted by Kiala Gives). Along with my workshops, you’ll find a variety of other facilitators leading sessions on art, creativity, bookbinding, spirituality, writing etc.
This is a great option if you’re looking for live workshops, community and an ongoing immersive experience.
Readings With A Focus On Your Practice
We have a couple reading offerings that are specifically catered to readers and their practice.
The first is a reading designed for readers designed to shine a light on the following: A gift you bring to this work, an archetype to tap into, a possible resistance or block, how to overcome that, how your nature plays a role, other insights you need to hear about your work with tarot.
The second offering is an interpretation service where we help you make sense of a confusing reading. Sometimes when you’re reading for yourself it can be difficult to get a clear message. We can help!
