2026: Not Just A New Year - A New Cycle!

In 2026, we’re not just entering a new year, but a new cycle! Think back to 2017 - our last Universal Year 1. Where were you that year and where was the collective, as you remember it? I can think of a number of prominent social, political and cultural events that shook that year, and I can also see how those events have reverberated in the years since.

Last year, in our Collective Year 9, we were called to release things that were no longer serving. This year it’s time to put our “money” where our mouth is. What we place focus on now, could set the tone for years to come. Every choice, every step, and every action counts. What do you want to change - in yourself, in your community, in the world? What are you inviting in? What can you no longer stand by? Year 1 calls for clarity and aligning your words with your deeds. If you speak of change but do not act, the energy stalls. If you act without intention, you risk being swept off course. The alignment of vision and action is everything. Every stone thrown in the pond will ripple, so make your throws count!

Spiritually and personally, this year asks us to lead from our own center. Step into your autonomy, trust your intuition, and take ownership of your vision. It’s a moment to embrace independence and courage, while remembering that our actions have consequences. Your clarity, integrity, and commitment matter more than ever.

Ultimately, 2026 is a year to step forward boldly, to take ownership of your path, and to embrace the excitement and potential that comes with new beginnings. The collective is asking each of us to participate in shaping the cycle to come, individually and together. We may all have our unique way of going about things, so the challenge will be figuring out where our individual efforts complement the whole. But remember also, this is only Year 1! Be open to shifts, pivots and surprises - not everything will go according to plan, nor should it.

Some Interesting Things To Contemplate About The Number 1

  • 1 is the final digit in the single digit series. It is something of an equivalent to January or a Monday or Aries, the first sign of The Zoadiac.

  • 1 is often aligned with the masculine/yang principles - action, assertion, and the conscious will.

  • From a single dot, an entire circle can be drawn. Spiritually, the point is often seen as the undifferentiated source - a centre point from which all else expands out from.

  • In Kabbalah, 1 represents the sphere of Kether on the Tree of Life. It is the top sphere, also known as the crown.
