Musickal Meditations - Channeling The Wheel of Fortune

We are back with our 10th Musickal Meditation, the first, in fact, of 2022! This one plunges us into The Wheel of Fortune, known also as the game of life or karma.

As with all meditations, you may opt to simply enjoy the music on its own, or work with some of the suggestions provided to perform a fuller ritual. We do hope you enjoy the sounds! We will be updating the YouTube page regularly as we add more tracks as well as storing all links on a separate page of this site, so they are easy to find! Keep reading to learn more about connecting with The Wheel of Fortune.

Meditation Package - The Wheel of Fortune in A Sharp

Background: The purpose of these meditations is to allow you space to connect with the 22 Major Arcana, which are, in many ways, separated aspects of ourselves. Each element of this project has been carefully considered, from the note selection to the length of the track to the written piece which accompanies it. The intention is to supply the user of the track with the musical essence of the Major Arcana in question to help them get in touch with their own inner archetype of that nature. We envision that one may use this as part of a regular meditative practice, to open up a card reading session, before or during ritual, or as a way to simply connect more with their deck.

Description for The Wheel of Fortune: The Wheel of Fortune is a plunge into the world of form. As it spins, we ride along with it, sometimes up and other times down. As we rotate, we can feel at the whim of destiny or chance, though this is part of The Wheel's illusion. At the centre of The Wheel is stillness, and this is where our true spirit resides. In this space, we can come to see the perils of life, its errors and our contributions to it as nothing more than identification with something other than what we are in our essence. The Wheel reminds us that while all things move in cycles, we are ultimately responsible for the energy that we bring and the manifestations we create. As we connect to a higher channel, we can become the eye of the storm, releasing us from the whirling and bringing restoration to all.

Before listening to the meditation music, you may opt to create a ritual-like space using some of the suggestions below. Of course, these are just ideas - feel free to adapt to your liking!

Reflect on the following passage below, designed to further set the stage before you begin.

Verily, I say unto thee,

That the Wheel of Tarot
Speaketh the Law of Nature,

Which is stated thus —

All of Life unfolds
In Cyclical Motion,

From the celestial bodies
That orbit the heavenly stars,
To the electrons that encircle
The central sun of the atoms
Which make up our physical form,

For it is Life itself, cloaked in
The veil of the Four Elements,
Which sets the Wheel in motion
& leads humanity on its ascent
To the summit of Ultimate Truth.

Remember thus —

The 3 Principles,
The 4 Elements,
The 7 Planets,
The 12 Signs,

Are building blocks
In the Hand of God —
& by their mastery, may
Ye too hold The World
In thy very own Palm,
& a benevolent ruler
Shalt Thou be to All.
